When you've lost your iSCSI disks on vSphere esx4, you can force a rescan of the vmhbaXX adapter from console, keep reading....
Here are the disk devices, we have no iSCSI disks:
Now you can run the command: esxcfg-swiscsi -s that identifies by it's own the right vmhba adapter:
And the iSCSI disk appears again.
